Radon gas is result of decaying a uranium in the soil. The radon gas then moves through the soil infiltrates into your home. As shown on the map us here in central Ohio there are large amounts of radon are generally present. However radon levels can fluctuate drastically from home to home, so it is imperative that each house be tested individually. Its not uncommon for one neighbor to need a mitigation system while the another is under the EPA reccommened level of 4 pCi/l.
